Building a Pocket Forest using the Miyawaki Method with SUGi

We are thrilled to team up with SUGi the global forest builders on Roosevelt Island in April. We can't wait to create a Pocket Forest at Southpoint Park with the help of partners RIOC and others. NYC needs this now and we can not wait to boost biodiversity and restore the land using the Miyawaki Method of planting.

The Roosevelt Island pocket forest has big dreams: We plan to reforest Southpoint Park with 1,000 trees with a variety of 40 native species in a 2,700 square foot area.
