About the Event

On Saturday, April 20th (rain date 4/21) stop by between 10 am to 2 pm to see the 1st Pocket Forest in NYC. Learn how healthy soil creates life and sets the stage for 47 species of native plantings within the teeny forest. Find out how trees create their own weather and how this Miyawaki Method of planting of 1,500 trees supports life below and above ground. We will delved into connections between plant life and surrounding life including birds and butterflies and share more about how time in green space boosts the health of humans too. Cities are looking for solutions to extreme weather and this is one way to protect the land and everything we hold dear.
